hello, i just have a quick question, if anyone knows the answer to it. I have 3 neons, a 95 sohc, a 96 dohc, and a 98 sohc. the head gasket on my 98 blew, like usual on a neon, i want to change the head from the dohc onto the this car, are the engine blocks the same on these cars, i think they are, but i want to know if the computer from the 96 will work on the 98 wirring harness, or do i need to change out the whole wiring harness itself, and if it does, do i have to splice into the sensors or do they plug up on the old wiring harness. also to help both cars are manual transmission.

the white car is the dohc parts car i bought for $300 at a junk yard
the green car is my 95 which is broke down right now, and being kinda used as a parts car until i get my 98 fixed up nice
then im going to fix it back up and sell it, because the wife said shes not driving a neon, and i married this woman, lol.

 

The block is the same. If you go from a SOHC to a DOHC, you will need the dohc pcm. Manuall and auto will also be different as far as the PCM is concerned.
