Theres got to be 20+ in the stratus's at my local JY. I can pull for 100 or get pulled for 175, I will eventually get one and build it. Where do you live?

heh, from Ebay or Autozone youre looking at 2200 easy for the 2.4L, Idsay that 400 is a deal, that is the going rate and if they add in your wire harness and the needed injectors, then thats a deal you shouldnt knock. I'd do a compression check on the cylinders (a leak down test would be better, but harder to do) you may not have to rebuild.

You always could sale your motor on Ebay, or build it strong for a future neon...

And another thought, that 400 dollars could go toward the 2.0 with some funky crane cams to rock your world. Or toward a DIY turbo with SRT4 manifold...

why not spend the 400 on the 2.4 and swap all the parts off your 2.0 including the cams... then sell the 2.0 for the 400 you just spent on the 2.4 yeah you spent the money but you will get it right back

due to shipping, selling a used engine isn't as easy as these guys are making it. After I swapped my atx for an mtx, I couldn't give my old tranny away. I ended up throwing it in a dumpster.

I dunno where you live but i don't live in a huge city yeah there are a few decent sized cities around here but its pretty damn easy to sell engines and transmissions around here without having to worry about shipping... even if you sell it on ebay just gotta put on there that you cannot ship it... pretty easy...
