There is no #18 cam for an sohc neon, nor is there a plastic intake manifold for a dohc made for a 60mm. Care to enlighten the masses.

On a side note, porting a aluminum sohc intake manifold may be another alternative for those of you allergic to dohc You could open the the tb neck up some and remove the fuel injector humps where the runners meet the head. You could adapt a 60 to work on the aluminum intake manifold more securely, than the plastic.

Before you go throwing mods/money at your car, has it been determined that you need it? What is your A/F gauge reading at WOT? What throttle body are you using now? mtx or atx? Has your neon been tuned?

Also, you should analyze your launching technique. You are not breaking axles due to your engine output, but how you are applying this at launches. It is the difference between shutting a door ,and slamming it.

Does it have a brand name? Who made it? Where did you get it from?

INDY FTL, get a custom manifold made. You'll have better gains, looks better, easier install. Indy is good for turbo guys but not N/A.

The biggest install problem is that the bolts between the runner are very hard to tighten down because most sockets won't fit. Many people grind down the runners some just to tighten these bolts.

ALL MOTOR MIKE makes beautiful manifolds. Try reaching him on s r t f o r u m s .com
you'll pay around $450 his very best long runner manifold. This will also eliminate the 90 degree u-turn at the throttle body that the indy doesn't address.

It's Comp Cams. I bought it from NOPI back in 2002. They called it the Extreme Stage 3 cam. Great for Boost or Nos applications. 2500-7800 RPM
262/262 Duration .424/.424 Lift. I just started using it a few months ago. Still got the original box and receipt.

This is the way to go for sohc. I'll ask them to build it for a 60mm tb. BONUS! What did they use for a core?
