Default indy inatke manifold

ok everyone im new to dodge and im looking for input..i have a 13.0 neon with alota mods i guess

solid motor mounts
msd with 2 step
3.55 trans with phantom lsd
light wieght fly wheel and stage 4 clutch
dohc block with 10.5:1 pistons
light wieght under driven pulley
fully built sohc head with crane 14 cam and full titanium valve train with max port & polish
kirk long tube header with full 2 1/2 exaust
aem cam gear
nx wet 75 ****
mopar chipped ecu
nitto auto X tires they apparently grab better then drag radials x=
and full gut out

its capeable of 12.8's with traction and not snapen axles

my question is back to the intake manifold im running a stock p.o.s one which i hear is the weak point and i hear the indy flows realy nice so is it worth me getting one with a 60 mm t.b or just buy and aftermarket? and why does everyone say its a pain in the *** to install? thanks jeremy

with those amount of mods you would deff stand to gain a fair amount of power my switching to the indy intake manifold and the 60mm tb... hell even with less mods then that you can get a pretty good increase from those two mods...

The install is a PITA. It isn't a plug and play fit. You will have to kick and muscle some things in there to get the alignment/fit good.

You should see a nice improvement with the Indy and the 60mm TB.

Ah yes finally a NO2 extremist! Not related to your post, but can you tell us how the NO2 works out for you? 13's is quick enough, but 12's in a neon without turbo is unheard of in the posts I've read here.

Indy is easy to install if you pull the radiator and take your time. Otherwise yes, Kicking and jumping may be required. Its a very tight fit, and alot of the time it doesnt seem like its even made for the neon. Anyways. I had a sohc mild built with 10.5 ,light cam, mopar ecu, stripped and I went back to the stock manifold because I lost so much low-mid range. I heard people dynoed them on stock motors and actually lost whp with the indy. So I hope its worth it for your build.

I don't think the guy is a member here but i did watch a guy run a 12.8 without a turbo in a first gen sohc 5spd... with a 75 shot of N2o a #14 cam... ice man air intake, kirk header and some kinda exhaust... oh also and its kinda funny he was running an afx computer... lol well lets just say it was fast the first 2 times... third time she let go about half way down the track.... and this was after i spent a half hour trying to tell him to swap back to his stock ecu cause the afx has way to much timing for a 75 shot....

I wounder what mine would do at the strip seeing ya'll hitting 13's and high 12's on all motor. I got the #18 cam, 60mm throttle body, port-matched stock plastic intake manifold (it does do better all around than the INDY), 12.1:1 compression, the only thing i don't have is the LSD and the NOS. but I do also have the anti-friction coating on all my bearings and pistons.
