ignition lock cylinder
to make a long story short I am a moron. I just purchased a 1995 neon loved driving it for the two days I could. The problem is I have lost the ONE and only key that I had for it. I called the dodge dealer and was told as long as the ignition lock cylinder hadn't been changed he could make me a key and hope for the best because we have no clue if it was changed or not. My question now is if it has been changed and i have to replace the unit how hard is it and can anybody give me very detailed idiot proof directions on how to switch it out without a key.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
Get a new key cut... The ignition locks rarely go bad in theese. Even if that's the case, a hayes manual has a good descripion on how to do it. DC the battery, pull the steering wheel, and remove the stearing colum cover. I think it's 5 bolts, but I could be wrong...
