did u blow the head gasket ?? if you did it could have caused other damage...

Well the car still runs.. when I unplug the camshaft sensor.

It runs really ****ty but runs.

CEL 54.. no camshaft signal to PCM.

the sensor is prolly bad or a wire has been cut... could be one of those problems. check the sensor with a multi-meter.

Yeh we are going to do that tomorrow.

Replaced the sensor.. 64 flippin dollars.. had to get at the dealership.

did u atleast make sure the old one was broke before you spent that kind of cash ?? cuz that might not be the problem and that would be wasted money..

nope.

friend said i had to replace it.. he has decent knowledge on cars.. and had a ODB-II.. said i had to replace the camshaft and crankshaft sensors.. so he bought one.. i bought the other.

Replaced the sensors.. and still no good.

My certified mechanic friend is going to look at it and we are going to check the ohms because that error... is weird.. and he looked in his library and we have steps to go about fixing the CEL error.

Was the head gasket bad? Could be bad rings. Bad PCM maybe?
