well it may not add like 25hp but it does add some, it allows the car to flow better, maybe add 10hp, but is still better then 2 1/4, plus when matched with a good muffler the gains could be up around 15hp, its just like adding a header not that much gain but you still feel a difference, I dont have to reserve a comment when its true, because it does add hp does it not? thats all I was saying not like "oh yea its gonna give you 25whp for doing this" no I wouldnt cause I know it can't. Did I ever say how much, no just that its give better flow which makes a little more power.

I would even doubt that it would add 10 HP. This is the real world, not Need for Speed on the Xbox.
The money could be spent elsewhere is my point and be more beneficial to the neon. The stock 2.25" piping flows well enough to handle most mildly modded neons on the road.

Captain
yeah i think unless your going all out all motor build or going turbo the stock 2.25 is more then enough to support your mods... maybe just change to a lil better muffler

Under Flowmasters web site even though it does list only a 2.25 system they still claim a 5-10% increase in hp, so yea about 10, do research before you post, I dont play those games but I do, do reasearch before I put anything on my car. So maybe you should reserve your comments liek what you say, a 2.5inch system is not going to hurt any car even factory says if you go up 1/4inch it helps the car put better.Originally Posted by das2123

spud ur's sounded great mine sounded horrible. guess that is the difference between a built motor and a stock motor. I will post my video tomorrow of the srt exhaust on my neon

its not the built motor that gave it that tone...it was the turbo...Originally Posted by dipsherry

hell throwing that complete exhaust on my car added almost 200 hp.....

oh and moparmatt....i understand the whole reasearch part that your talking about, but it amazes me that you would believe what the manufacturer says the horse power increase would be....its called advertising.....same reason manufacturers will say a cold air intake will give you a 20 hp increase, and UDP will add 15hp, a header will add 25hp, and so on...
