Default Anything Useful?

I have a 97 neon sedan stock. I was going to buy a 98 neon sedan sport (mtx, 2.0 dohc)with a blown tranny to use as parts. Its $250.

I want to take off the instrument cluster. I also need a new clutch for mine. Would the clutch in the sport be useful to me or did it get ruined along with the transmission.

This a good deal?

Depends on what you need. From your posts, you need a 8k tach cluster and a clutch. I could sell you that for a fraction of the cost. Unless there is more to your intentions.

Really? For how much.

I was thinking engine swap possibly but I haven't found conclusive evidence that it actually is worth the time and effort. My engine is at 200,000 miles and so maybe swapping to get lower miles will be beneficial?

Is there really anything on the 98 that would be useful to me performance wise?

Thanks your helps appreciated

250 wouldn't be bad for a parts car, as long as the parts(besides trans) on the parts car are still in good shape. You could pop off the tranny covers and look at the clutch and you should be able to tell, it also depends on the mileage of the clutch if it would be worth it or not.
