yeah fuel pump would prolly be the culprit. it is not that hard just drop the tank and make sure you use a bronze tap to knock the ring and the pump should just come out...oh yeah there is some lines and wires you need to disconnected lol thats a given

Ya it didn't seem to in-depth or too hard. The pump and sending unit are 211.00 at my local auto parts store, so Tuesday I'll install them and retest!

not too hard, empty the tank remove old add new

Installed new fuel pump yesterday, with new filter. Car runs great! But my gas guage has never been right, its always read right for a few minutes than goes to Empty, thought the sending unit would take care of it, but I guess not, any suggestions??

My guess is that your tank float is stuck down. It happend to me, and was like that for 6 months before it fixed itself on a bumpy dirt road. I was tired of working on cars that week. Long story but, anyways try checking the float somehow.
