Default overheat?

today my temp gauge went on vacation in the upper sections. after playing with it i noticed that when i went above 70 at any throttle it got hot, but within a min or two of dropping the speed down it was back at normal...any ideas?

enough coolant in the system? coolant temp. sensor?

I checked that and there is enough. A sensor would do it all the time though right?

Sensor can cause problems, Check it to make sure the plastic top didn't break off(happens easily).
Does your fan turn on when it gets hot?
You could also have an air bubble..
