what is the usual compression for a 1995 sohc? i did atest and it had 180 on all 4

Thats excellent, with my rebuilt SOHC I got 160-165 and I believe the Haynes says 100 or below is not good.

yep 180 is good before i screwed a rod i had 180-195

direct compression test is 195-190psi. depending if its DOHC or SOHC

sohc and by direct do u mean the hose u screw in to the spark plug socket?

you could say that. seeing as youll need an air compressior to do the other comp test
