I bought a automatic trans off craigslist. I am not sure if it came out a SOHC or a DOHC. I know there is somewhat of a difference of the two. I have a DOHC would there be a big difference as far as power if i got the one that was in a SOHC? an also is there any mods that i would have to do if i did get the wrong trans?

 

There is a gear difference, but the details are beyond me. It is known that a dohc with any atx is the slowest neon when it comes to performance. Unless you plan on running a turbo.
