I've actually taken a break from it until after the holidays. After talking to many different people, we are all thinking it is the PCM. From a parts store the part is around 600 dollars. I found reman/programmed PCM's on ebay for around 150 dollars ... once I get one, I'll let you know

Hey KFTZPATRICK! i just went through the same thing you posted about doing a swap except i rebuilt my motor and when i put it back it started fine so i turned it off an took it off the jacks. well i tryed to start it and nothing. Checked my spark an had nothing. Changed my cam sensor, ignition coil, and crank sensor and still nothing. Well i started to focus on the auto shut down reley. all i did was get a jumper wire and removed the reley and i bypassed it and it started right up. Dont know why the reley didnt wanna let it start but that was my fix. Hope it works for you. Trying to save ya money. Let me know what happens

Hi there! I was wondering ... there are 5 prongs on the relay. Which two prongs did you put the jumper wire in? I will try that as soon as I know which ones, You've got me curious now

Hey, while standing in front of the car. Key in ON position use ur test light to find the ground(should be the left one). Then find the two positive ones(should be the top one and the right one). Hook a jumper wire to the left one(the ground) and the right positive one. And it should start the car. Let me know the results

I will try that today. I know the relay is good though, I switched it with one of the other relays (I think it was the horn) and it worked for the horn. But I'm willing to try just about anything now.

Same here. I checked my relay cause i switched it with the horn and it checked out good. Thats what i dont get, the relay was working for the horn but it wouldnt let my car turn on,weird. So i thought id bypass the reley and BAM! it started up. Man you dont even know how relieved i was. Thats cause i read this whole thread before i started my rebuild and was hoping this wouldnt happen to me and what do ya know, it does. I just had to post my discovery to see if maybe it helps you out. And make sure you get the wire in there cause if its not touching right it wont start. Best way is to put a male connector on each side cause there the same size as the reley prongs.

The more and more this continues on, the more and more it is sounding like a strange grounding problem. I know you have checked them, but I would double check all the ground points in the engine compartment - paying special attention to the two grounding straps and the grounding points around the battery. No ground, no fire.

It may even be time to take out the two wiring harnesses and check the entire bundle from stem to stern to see if you have any wires grounded together, bad pins, bad connectors, dirty connectors, bad sensor connectors that are making bad connections, etc.

Man are you sure you did it right? Did you put a male spade type connector on each side and put it into the slots where the relay prongs go?
