sohc to dohc motor trans in and the motor wont roll over with key but can jump starter and it will spin. ive tried everything

im thinking it would be pretty simple to figure out the wiring problem start with a good quality wiring diagram to save a lot of time. trace out wires check for continuity and go from there. if you still cant figure it out, just install a push button on the dash for the starter solenoid
