that would be retarded... cause the steering is designed to work fine without the power steering pump... for saftey... and just for the fact that in case a pump goes out you can get the car to a shop to get it fixed without wrecking stuff... it isn't like true hydraulic steering like in a forklift where that would actually ruin the steering with out the pump running... in a rack pinion system the fluid is there to assist you in steering just making it easier... it won't run the rack running without the pump... the only way the seals are going to get ruined is if the seals dry out cause of lack of oil being in the rack... which i still have oil in my rack so its fine.... and like i said before my buddy ran well over a year with the belt off his pump and then later put a belt back in and his steering was just fine afterwards... just like the day he took the belt off...

ok well i didnt get certified in steering and suspension by not n
knowing what im talking about it will ruin your rack there is seals in there that are not meant to be dragged but pushed
