Default Catalytic Converter

I'm going to be replacing the Cat, on my car later this week. Just waiting for it to get here. Are there any tricks that I can do to get the Cat off any easier? Should I replace the O2 sensors while I have the Cat out? And has anyone heard anything Good or Bad about the Magnaflow direct-fit Catalytic Converter? P/N 23265 Thanks.

shouldnt need to replace the o2 sensors.. so long as they were working fine before you swapped cats.

Its pretty straight forward, the bold are either easy of hard and you don't need to replace the 02's

Yeah but if you drive it everyday you take the chance of failing emissions then you got to go back and change everything

I'm pretty sure that a lot of the pre 77 vehicles don't have to have cats on them, I know my 76 Dodge pickup dosen't. Up here in Idaho we don't have emmisions testing (lucky us!!) so mines off.

in ohio. the emissions tests arent required in every county. so most likely you are probably not in a county that requires them.

keep in mind, that when you remove the cat, regardless on if you have emissions tests or not, that it is against federal law and that if you get caught having removed it, its a pretty hefty fine.

but people may say "oh ive never had a cop check for a cat"
ive had two cops check for a cat on my peon. luckily, i have one.
