i want to swap a 2.4 stratus into the body of a 98 neon rt dohc, could anyone give me some suggestions

 

do a search i just did a reply to a thread about that.. tranny will bolt right up.. need a clutch from a 95 i think the seperate clutch and flywheel.... injector wires need to be moved one down and the cam position sensor needs to be rotated 180 and the coil wires flipped around.. and mine as well go to a header right away to...

yes.. or you can get a stock or modded turbo from a srt4 for about 150 and that will bolt up to...

 

what would be a better option in terms of money but with most power

Option A: Rebuilding a 98 stratus motor with a kit off of www.modernperformance.com that uses SRT4 parts, >>>>>and us the hahn turbo kit if it fits<<<< question in a question
Option B: Rebuild my current dohc 2.0 and use the Hahn racing turbo kit on it
Option C: Finding a Srt4 motor swap it in if it fits?????



Again money is a factor but i am willing to spend to get the best set up

 

srt4 youll need eaither full ms or swap in the ecu and wire it.. more money

i rebuilt a stratus with srt4 internals and oiling and water pump.. way cheaper then the building your dohc with turbo pistons and rods and all. but if you have the money build ur dohc since you have it.. by time you buy the suff from modern for the 2.4 and the 98 block you mine as well build the 2.0.. but the coolness factor of the 2.4 would be awsome.. if you run low on money use the srt4 turbo and manifold for now and tune it with that.. then upgrade to the hahn kit bit if money isnt a problem then i would say a 98 stratus turboed built with srt4 internals and run a mega squirt system... with the hahn super 16g with 750cc injectors... and they will all fit but the srt4 motor will need more fabing to fit.. the stratus motor will need a adapter for pass side engine to fit right but will bolt up to stock trans.... and since the stratus motor uses the same head as a dohc neon swap in your 2.0 exhaust cam into the strat motor 360whp on a worked over srt4 turbo running 19 psi spiking 21 holding 19 now think with the 16g 400-450 wouldnt be hard to get.

well if your gonna go turbo neather will do as they advance timing to far for any amount of boost... mega squirt is a unit designed to control injectors and spark.. one company has a ms unit that can be used to replace the ecu on a neon.. it will control every aspect you need to run boost.. running with a wide band o2 you can even auto tune for boost... you can control spark and control fuel trim and such.. idle 1000cc injectors and i know a guy running a 550whp neon with the strat 2.4 srt4 built motor daily with ms and getting about 45-48 hwy.... and goes to the tranck and runs 11's with it.. biggest pia is hooking up....

 

i heard that with the mega squirt i cant run more than 10 psi is that true?
