Default EGR Valve

On a 95 neon does it make any difference with or without the EGR valve on the car. I have heard both ways, yes the car will run fine or no it will run like **** can anyone confidently give me an accurate answer. Thanks

No matter the year, the neon will run fine without one. You may or may not get a code for it though. There have been several reports with no CEL and some who do. You will need to block of the EGR ports on the head and underneath the TB or you will experience vacuum problems.

no effect in its running mopar sold the block off kit for years... now you can make ur own... or slip in a dime up by the tb were it goes in... thats the cheap way if you want to remove it by a kit and you can remove the whole system...

eaither mega squirt and go that route.. or i think bigger injectors like 24# and a boost in fuel pressure by a returnline kit mite do it.... ms was the easist way to do it no injector change a straight map for regular fuel and then one with more timing and fuel for e85 so you can switch to eaither when ever... no returnline needed and allows you to adjust pulse width on the injectors...

idk way yall wanna take off egr if yall understod what it dose how it works and when it comes on yall'd see that it dont have no efect on power cuz it only comes on during hot cruse and off at idle, cold and wide open. it lets the engine run leaner duing cruse for better fule milage

It also puts all kind of soot into your TB and intake.

idk how it would put soot in teh tb cuz the egr aint going into the tb. i got race carbed motors that dont have egr and they get sooty look in the intake too.

Seriously?

Look at what it's called, Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve. The EGR tube connects right at the bottom of the TB. Look at the bottom of the butterfly plate. This also allows soot to gunk up the intake.
