Default Questions-Head Gasket difference

Wanted to ask what are the differences between the sohc neon head gaskets and dohc neon head gaskets? is the dual cam just thicker then sohc. i've seen some listing online under felpro and says its for both motors, and autozone, advanced, etc. have seperate parts numbers.

So is there any real differences for cooling, etc. or just thicknesses?

I haven't measured the thickness of both of them, but I don't think there is a difference there.

However, they are not identical. You have to get one specific to your head.

ok yea cause i went through comestic awhile back n got a thicker head gasket to drop the compression on my sohc motor and now come to find out its for a dohc engine. so i'm now assuming i'll just have to do low comp pistons n all that, the flepro site said they were the same part # numbers lol so many sites now a days are messed up. was hoping to get away w/ drop comp with head gasket rather piston & rods, now theres the catch 22...lol, thanks appercaite the input
