Default Blue Instrument Panel

Does anyone know a good way to convert the instrument panel and HVAC lights to blue? I've heard buying LEDS from SuperBrightLeds.com is the best way. I already did my ATX shifter to blue with a regular blue bulb. If anyone has done this or has tips, they are appreciated.

LEDs would be the way to go. If you want to use blue LEDs, you will need to scrape off the film from the back on the cluster. It is tinted, so the blue would look greenish.

Hold the phone here! Are you guys saying that I can pull out the incandecent bulbs out of my instrument cluster and put in their place some LED's?!

It is just plug and play? Pulll old bulb, stick in new bulb - right?

If the answer is yes, give out some manufacturers part numbers so I can look it up and get some!

The cluster bulbs are 194, so you would need to get some LEDs with that number. It is kind of a pain to get the old bulbs out of the socket, but you can do it. The LED pops in and lights up. You may have to rotate the socket with the LED in it to get it a little brighter, so I have heard, because of the polarity.

Thanks. I bought a Cool White 194/168 bulb to test. I put it in my License plate for now. It looks good but not as bright as I want. Probably because of the way the plate light holder is...?

I'm not sure what to do for the instrument panel and climate control just yet. I'd like it to be a decently bright blue, without losing my redlines.

I'd rather just change the bulbs in mine if possible. Any success/pictures?

i have taken my dash apart in my 96 plymouth to replace a heater core and figured i would do this since my 68 roadrunner i converted buy replacing the bulbs. but i realized my bulbs and the little black housing they sit in are one piece. so i couldnt convert it. but the bulbs are clear the color is from the tint on the back of your gauge face. id reccomend taking your dash apart and checking before you buy alot of leds. takes 10 min.
