what up every one, i have a 95 neon sport and when ever i turn on the heat to the windsheld the compreser comes on and my car lights dem and it reves up to about 1.5 rpms, does any no if there is a fuse that i could pull to get it to stop cuting on or something. my air conditionar doesnt work so i am not worried about that.

 

Even if your a/c isn't "working", turning the switch to the defroster position istelling the PCM to turn on the a/c compressor, turn on the 2nd rad fan (if you have one), and open the IAC to compensate for the extra load.

Try disconnecting all the electronics to the a/c system - power supply, pressure switches, etc. Then at least the PCM will think the a/c is gone and stop trying to compensate for it. There is a way to make it so the switch doesn't activate the a/c, but it involves pulling out the circuit board that your switches are mounted to and drilling a hole through one of the solder points. Not difficult, but might be unneccessary in your case (unless you plan on getting the a/c to work again...).
