Default 1/4 Times please

I'm just trying to get a feel for N/A 1st gen SOHC neons and how fast they can be. If those of you that have done the 1/4 mile would tell my your et's and trap speeds along with what you have done to your car it would be great. Only 1st gen SOHC's tho.

Thx

Make sure you read the comments area. I just saw one where someone said they ran 14.9@89 with an 03 neon with no mods. Then in the comments it said it was recorded on a flat road with a stop watch. WTF. So some of those obviously aren't legit.

haha thats pretty funny.

if ya want drag times.. id say the best place to take a look, is most likely the drag racing section on neons.org

ive seen sohc 1g neons run anywhere from a 17.5 (heavily loaded down sohc atx) down to a 14.7 (magnum-swapped with some weight redux) so the times do vary a good bit

Just curious do you really notice a differents "seat of the pants" by removeing the ac/ps I know I can do the ac but converting to a manual steering could be a bitch cuz I got no junkyards to get the manual rack/pinion.

a little.. i havent actually done it yet, but i keep meaning to for the days i head to the track.

for reference, KeithRT over on neons.org dynod the difference on his car with the belt on/off.. and gained power pretty much across the board. heres his dyno plot showing it: (belt on- blue.. belt off- red)
