Did you replace all three with new inserts, or just the one you said was bad? Also, is your car a MTX? If so, did you check the torque damper strut to see if it needs replacing? Finally, does the car shake and you feel it in the steering wheel as you drive? If so, then you may need to start checking your steering components - tie rod ends, etc.

Then the next thing to check is the balance and roundness of the tires. A tire can be in balance, but have a flat spot (or a hump). Sometimes when a tire is out of round and not too badly, they shave the tire to fix it, then rebalance it.
Also, it is possible that your rotors are slightly warped and can be ground down a little to remove any humps that may be there.
If these don't end up being the problem, then start looking at the rack and pinion unit to see if there is excessive slop which can manifest as shaking.
Finally, you may need to replace either the struts along with the strut base to remove any final steering component from the list.
If this were an older style car and not a unibody, I would say to check the body to frame dampers, but that is not an issue for Neons.

well considering that the mounts that hold a shaking motor to the unibody are now solid or semisolid could be moving the shake to the cabin... DING! .. jus sayin sounds like a good excuse but if you do find a problem id like to know cause im also confused but sounds like the motor mounts being solid is whats doin it.
