well what are you looking to do? are you wanting more power or more show? do you have a Real cold air intake or an e bay intake that just removes the filter box and replaces it with a cone filter in the same area above the manifold? another Idea for handeling is get some Eibach lowering springs, Gyb Gr2 stuts and some bigger sway bars. motor mount inserts and or solid motor mount, and bobble strut.

yea the cai i got does go back in the same spot.. yea i already thought about the heat the headers give off will affect it so im fabricating a box for my in take will go in and make it ram air... im looking for more power and then worry about making it look nice.. i was going to get the Dropzone Springs for my neon i had them on my 1st gen eclipse and liked them.. what are your thoughts on drop zone springs? did you put cam gears in when you did your timing belts? if so, what cam gears did you go with? i was thinking about the fidanza ones... what is the best computer to get or where is the best place to send mine off for reprograming? **** with what i already have done on my car made a world of difference mainly the porting and polishing **** really helped my dad has been a tool maker for 30 plus years lol

yea i have to replace the front motor mount i tore it after doing all this to it... i guess its time 99 with 98000 miles on it but what mount inserts do you reccomend me getting ive seen a few different ones? dont the neons have the bobble strut on them factory? another question i heard that you can put the PT Crusier Sway bar on the neons that there bigger is that true? did you get a bigger exhaust system i want to take it to 2 1/2 inch cause if you go to big it can sound ****ty and lose performance... what brand do you reccomend i have pacesetter ceramic coated headers but im still going to wrap them for that added heat protection...

Suspension. Urethane bushings really do wonders for the neon. Given the age of the 1G neon, all other the rubber bushings are worn and deteriorated. Some put this off, and wonder why they have highway vibration, alignments that are ruined when they hit bumps, and a dozen of other issues caused by worn bushings.
- Lowering springs: the roads here can make you hate them with a passion. Stock acr springs are stiff, without making the ride horribly harsh. Also keep you high enough to clear speed bumps and road debris. XX-rate, eibach sportlines, give you a big drop at the sacrifice of your struts. Stock struts or KYB GR2 will not last long with most lowering springs.
-Struts : Coilovers or Koni. Unless you want to replace your struts repeatedly, these are the way to go. Bottom line.
-Front and rear strut tower brace: Must have. Affordable, and and makes your car more solid in all types of driving.
When these areas have been addressed, then you will have a solid foundation to build on.
The pt front sway bar will bolt up to a 2G neon, as they have the same front k-frame. This is not an option for a 1G neon.
1G neons have a bobble strut, and this should be upgraded to a solid bobble strut.
