right turning fuel hesitation/miss? HELP
I have a 98 dodge neon RT with dual overhead cam. It has started to hesitate, like no fuel or something when in a right turn at highway speed.
At slower speeds it sometimes stalls altogether when turning to the right.
No problems in left turns and sometimes a hesitation or "gasp" when going straight ahead.
Error code is 12, then 55, then 54.
Ideas?

code 54 is no cam signal at PCM codes 12 will almost always be there and 55 will always be there these two codes are normal and do not affect the way the Neon runs. My guess would be to check the connections at the PCM and wiggle some wires around a bit. tracing them back from the PCM to the Cam sensor. and as for the stalling issue when your turning right top off your fuel and take the turn again. I once took a long exit on a right turn, since i had low fuel all the fuel was to one side of the tank causing the pump to run dry.
My '84 GLH had a simialr issue with right turns only - I think that was the carb float since it didn't matter between la ow and full fuel load.
Our '97 SOHC had the stumbling problem when below about 1/3 of a tank.
So far, my '98 DOHC can still run the autocross OK without stumbling even down to the point the low fuel light comes on.
So could try wigggling/tugging, etc. the cam position sensor wire and connector while idling and see if you can get a code to pop up or for it to stumble.
