master control switch??? like for power windows??? if it is then you should be able to get you fingers under the trim piece that holds it in and just pull...it has 4 clips that hold it in

Hey, I got a new, aftermarket, radio about a month ago. Now all the sudden The sound gets scratchy and the speakers cut off for 2-10 seconds. But the radio is still on. My driver door speaker doesn't work at all.

Should I just get all new speakers? They Would sound better.
Any suggestions on speakers, not too crazy priced

Thanks!!![sm=smiley27.gif]
How did you install it? Did you tape your connections or soldier them. My bet is you didn't make solid connections from the deck harness to the car harness and bumps in the road are creating a jump in the wires thus making the scratchy sounds. Just make sure all connections are secure both at the deck and the speakers.

to remove the window crank you can either go to a store and buy a specialty tool or get a facecloth slip it behind the window crank and rotate the facecloth around the crank, eventually it will catch the little clip and pop the clip off. it does work, i have done it many times and it just takes practice to get it.
I tried the face cloth before, never worked for me. Then I tried a dish towel. For those of you who don't have dishwashers, you'll know what i'm talking about. Or wives haha. Anyways, has been working all the time for some reason. Basically, about 93% of the time, it works all the time

Yes, the master switch for the window/locks. The lights flickered and went out on it with none working now and all my windows are down. The lock doesn't work but works on the passenger door but not the window. The window switches in the back don't work either. Sounds like the master window control switch right since the fuse is okay and passenger door lock switch workis? I just tried pulling it but wanted to make sure i didn't break anything further before completly pull it out without the panel off. (This is a 2000)

ALWAYS the master switch goes bad 1st. on my 89 MR2 i was able to use shrink wrap around the switch levers (under the face) to fix the prob. got worn out and didn't make good contact with the "switch".

with a switch 2 thing can go wrong. the contacts; the switch (back and forth; mech not eletc).

hope you understand. good luck.

Speakers are blown replace them with something better, Its not power that kills speakers/subwoofers its distortion and heat. Turning the volume up too loud or having the bass turned up high with louder volumes usually will blow stock speakers in a heartbeat, myself I have a 140 watt amp running to my front speakers which are stock right now and have no fear of blowing them as there is very little distortion and no bass coming out of them.

i lost the pin for the window crank on my back door. Do you have a picture of how it is supposed to go on. I bought a package of universals from autozone.

ok, the best way i have done it is with the 2 ends of the "horseshoe" facing away from the direction the crank is pointing. This way, if you use a screwdriver method OR the washcloth method, it's easier to get off if you need to again. I've probably taken mine off around 10 times/door now and I tried that the 3rd time and it's been smoother sailing ever sense.
