Default Issues

Still haveing electrical issues, now i think ive narrowed it down but not sure, with no cd player on this time, i started my car up and the battery light wasnt on, after driving for 10 seconds it came on, when i came to a corner my guages dimmed from all the way to super dull, when i started driving again they went back to full and as i stopped at a corner dull again, possible alternator failure?

Is your gauge cluster properly secured by all four screws?

Not sure, ill have to take my dash apart to look, and why would that happen if it wasnt properly secured, if it helps my stereo also goes out as the lights begin to dim, so i was thinking it was more of a chance the alternator wasnt re powering the battery up enough, but i do have problems with the cluster also, where as the heat says its overheating and i could also be driving and doing 35 and it will say im doing 0

An improperly secured gauge cluster will give inaccurate readings. Just lift the top of the dash off and see if there are a total of four screws present.

If they are there, I'd look before the radio for possible loose connections (held by electrical tape alone) or other signs of wiring issues. Look under the dash as well.

sounds like the issue I am having. except mine comes and goes whenever it wants. I am thinking the voltage regulator is going bad. However the regulator is internal to the alternator itself. I am going to replace the alternator when it dies completly. maybe that will fix the issue.
