in all my years wrenching I've come across less than 5 bad computers causing no start. and 2 were customer abuse due to reverse polarity jump starting. so does you car need a PCM, teh odds are not in your favor. I had a neon come thru that someone tossed in a new cam sensor and pcm. I fixed the car with a crank sensor. using a scope solved the problem.

The only thing I can think maybe the arch could have caused the pcm to think it's out of sync and won't send the ground to the coil pack becuase it needs to be resync'd. Maybe?

even out of sync spark is still generated. the cam sensor can be unplugged and the crank will still send signal to fire.

with a scanner, I'd be looking at data stream to see what the pcm is seeing. I'd also get into functional test to activate coil to see if computer is able to send off spark control. but then that's just the way I roll on diagnostics.
