Code 11 !
I have a 99 Coupe DOHC I bought used, so I do not know much on it's history. One thing I do know is I have a 11 code on the check engine light. I have checked it out and one of the cams are 4 teeth off! Strange thing is, it runs fine, starts right up, and still gets 30 miles to the gallon. I figured since it was an interference engine it would be doing some strange things. Has any one heard of this. And should I mess with it ASAP. I have put about 3000 miles on it, and so far no problems. Seems someone has replaced the belt and kind of goofed it up. Visually, the belt looks in real good shape.
well yeah fix it although it still gets 30 MPG the engine is not flowing as it should. plus staring at that light would bother me. It shouldnt take more than 2 hours to fix the first time you do it. just make sure you have a puller rented from the auto store. a tiny allen wrench in the tensoiner, and a torque wrench. everything else is pretty much common sence.
