Default oil on plugs

Ok, i have oil mixing with my coolant. I know thats a sign of a bad HG. What about oil on the tops and threads of the spark plugs. Is that also a sign of a bad HG? could it be anything else that's easier to fix? If i do need a new one, where would i get a new HG, and how much does it normally cost to get it replaced. How hard is it to replace yourself? Where can I get instructions on how to do it?

I would have to say that it is most likely a head gasket. If you are getting oil on the plugs and in the spark plug tubes that is a different problem. That is either the spark plug tubes, but more likely the seals at the bottom of the tubes.

when i do the head gasket, what all should be replaced, other than the HG, the valve cover gasket, and all the seals around the spark plugs? How do i set the timing once i get it all back together?

I would also do the timing belt and water pump while you are there. There are timing marks that you use to set the timing.

timing belt tensioner pulley too when doing a timing belt, costs about 50 - 60 bucks but well worth it in the long run.
