Default Control Arm Bushings

Well I found at a shop that my control arm bushing for the two front wheels are about shot, and took a look myself while there. They quoted me $1,100. For the love of god....is there a way I can do this myself cheaper?

If your not sure you can do it yourself then shop around. Its always advisable to get more than one quote on a repair.

You can do it yourself. I did mine myself both times ( 86 daytona and 97 neon), and I am not a trained mechanic.

Get a factory service manual, and a day off from work.

Anyone with a neon that does not have new control arm bushings needs them. I will drive to your house to do them for $1000. Seriously.

Same kit installed on my neon. Love it. Should be installed on every neon regardless if bone stock or not. Greatly improves the feel of the car.

Control arm bushings are probably one of the more PITA repairs, but defiantly necessary.

Do yourself a favor, and read up on it before you attempt it, Having all the right tools and know how, will make the job much easier.
