i have a 97 dohc mtx and i just installed a custom cai , i am a little nervous about the height of
it from the ground. the last thing i need right now is to get water in ther and hydro lock
the damn motor. the filter is basically right under the battery. about six to eight inches off the ground does anyone think this will pose a problem

 

You have to practically submerge the entire filter in water to hydrolock the engine. Just don't drive through puddles/lakes deeper than 12 inches deep or so...
