Looks or performance? Real coilovers, or ebay coilover sleeves?

The Eibachs are good, I think they are like a 1 3/4" or 2" drop.

I have the prokits on mine still have about 1-2' between the top of tire and bottom of wheel well. If I had to do it all over again I woulda went with there full system being swaybars strus/shocks and the sportline springs.

Eibachs (Pro or Sport) on stock or stock-based struts (KYB GR-2, Monroe, Gabriel, etc.) are crap for ride and ultracrap for performance. My Pro's lowered the car just shy of 1.75" all around for the year or so I had to have them. The Sportlines lower just over 2", which leaves just barely an inch of suspension travel before bottoming out the struts, which you will, frequently.

The ebay coilover sleeves you see going for $40 will not fit the stock struts without modification (remove spring perch). On top of that, most are pretty high spring rates which isn't good for the stock struts. Even Koni's need revalving for anything above 350 lbs/in or so. Shortening the strut is also a good idea if you're going to lower the car (figure $200 per strut on top of the initial cost). Having all the spring rates equal will hurt handling. And don't forget that higher spring rates means a harsher ride. But if you're going to lower the Neon, it's the price you pay to prevent bottoming out the struts over every speed bump and pothole.

There are a few affordable coilover setups that include the strut/coilover package. If all you are going for is the lowered look, Howell sells some in the $600-800 range last I looked that were height and camber adjustable with a moderate spring rate. For a little more ($950 shipped group buy on the .org), you can get some that are rebound adjustable as well with a decent spring rate and the option of higher rates without having to revalve. These should easily compare to a basic Koni/Mopar Highrate combo, with the added benefit of lowering the car further without risking damage to the struts. The Koni/Mopar combo, by the way, will run $700 or so for the struts, and $100 for the springs, lowers the car about 1" all around.

I have the Koni Mopar combo and love it, but I'll probably be going with the K-Sport coilovers here soon.

Best of luck!

The GTX is not, and never will be, available for the Neon. I've talked with several folks at KYB personally, it ain't gonna happen.

Ok I bought those e-bay ones and I know I shouldn't of but they are going to have to work for now! What do you mean when you have to remove the spring perch, like where is that at and is there any thing else i have to do to make them work? Thanks for any input!

Its called professional instalation, you can do it at home, but its not for the novice. I have driven in a few 1st gens that were dropped with both drop zone and eibach pro kits, and both with Kyb, the handled much better than stock. My Daytona owned them, but they handled pretty good.
