Default cooling fan problem.

My girlfriend's '97 neon's right side cooling fan makes a horrible sound when it turns on. I'm thinking it the bearings going bad. Does anyone know where to find a reasonable priced replacement. I checked at our local junkyard and they are out. Everyone else wants around $100 for one. Her car has 150,000 miles and i really don't want to spend that much for a car she isn't going to keep that long.

Thanks for any help.

dont' try wd 40 it is an electric fan you are asking for a fire bomb this way. go to scrap busters.com it is located in michigan but htey will ship it to you for about 50.00 total. i deal with this company all the time you can definitly count on them. to make sure bearing is proble grasp fan blade and move it back and forth. front of car to rear of car is it moves/has excessive play bearing is bad.
