Hey guys, I was just wondering if the SRT 4 sway bars (front and back) fit on our 1g neons? I was searching the forums to find the answer but cant find anything.
If they do fit, the upgraded thicker sway bars should b fine too right?

 

No it will not, different size. You can use any sway bar from a first gen neon.

 

Is it just different size? or does it route differently, cause if its just thicker cant you get the bracket and bushing for that size?

 

The problem is its wider than a 1st gen neon. It can work, but you would have to fab up some end links and not worth it in my opinion as the SRT-4 sway bar is 17mm and the 1st gens are 16mm. 2nd gen R/Ts have 19mm sway bars, but again they are wider.

 

thanx Das, I'm just looking into upgrading my suspension and brakes. I wanted to get thicker sway bars and was looking into the hotchkis sway bars for the srt4

 

For the brakes, just upgrade your pads to Hawk pads. They work great. Here you go for the sway bar...
