Try cleaning up the cam sensor and putting it back on. Also, check for an intake manifold leak. I have heard that a small leak will throw the misfire code at higher speeds.

Have checked compression today, 180 in all cyl. with all the plugs removed when it was done. Don't think I said anything about noisy belt, but in the last day are so there has been a squelching noise, turns out a nut for altenator came off and it was loose. Now my question is, is there anyway possible that the battery might be weak and that the altenator wasn't suppling enough juice so as the the spark for motor was weak? and possibly causing misfire??? I don't know just taking a guess, nothing else has worked so far. I have cleared it again today after checking compression ( unplugged coil pack ) so light came back on. So cleared again. Also went on Highway and was up to 70 and nothing has happened yet....keeping fingers crossed...if it does then I'll clean cam sensor next and I'll spray carb cleaner around intake to see if it leaks ( tried once allready but with wd40 )

Guess the Loose alt. Belt wasn't the problem ( light just came on again ) It was a thought ( are hope ) will clean cam sensor next.
I also thought it might have something to do with speed ( 70 + ) guess not drove around 70-90 nothing happened at the time
The only thing is the light is staying off longer here lately ( getting over 100 miles before it comes back on )

Default Code 43

Been having misfire issues with a 99 DOHC. Been throwing P0300, P0301, P0303, P0304.

Done all the usual plugs, wires, coil pack, cam sensor. The scanner tells me at 68MPH and 3140 RPM is when it misfired.

The reason it take miles before it comes back is the computer is testing all the different systems, EGR, O2, Cat, etc. I've been able to pass inspaction because I'll clear the codes, then drive around town untill the tests are complete and hit the Inspection station. (Have my own reader.)

Been reading the sparkplug tread and decided to try NGK Plugs. Used BoshX2's they bogged the engine down, put in Champions and it runs great untill 68MPH. Have replaced CPS and then did some tests and had to stick a pin through a wire, wonder if that is having some effect.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
