My car needed an oil change badly, it got the oil change, but it's been doing this. And this "engine noise" has me thinking worse for worse, time for a new car. Anybody know what causing it to knock like this, i've had it for about a month, has around 179,000 Kms on it, is a 2.0L DOHC Engine, and while it always kind of has run a little bit ruff, it's never done this, it used to tick a bit, that went away when the crankshaft position sensor was replaced because the car wouldn't start without it. I just changed the oil to, up to specs and everything provided in the manual i also own for the car.

I also about a week ago went to change the spark plugs and i found one of them were covered in oil, i believe this is a bad valve cover gasket and seals, but since then i have not at all found any drop or signs of more oil accumulating in any of them.

Is this even worth being looked at?
