Has anyone used the Venom PCM. It looks like a good deal i just want to know if it is really worth the money????

 

It is not actually a PCM. IT is a add-on that fools the sensors. It does not actually change the fuel and spark curves. If you are gonna spend that kind of money I would say go with the AFX race PCM.

 

Right on Casper! Maybe Mopar Performance PCM if he's got a 5 speed.

I got the Mopar PCM and it made a little diff, the biggest diff was not getting shut down at 135 mph. I never noticed much of a power increase.The rev limit is bumped up a tad. In my 98 ACR I can get roughly 100 mph out of 3rd gear, before the rev limit.4th gear runs past 120 mph,I have no way of knowing where it stops,and finally in 5th gear and no way of knowing how incredibly fast i am going there is no rev limit and there is no speedlimter.Hope that helps.

 

So your saying this basically does away with the govenor in 5th Gear???

 

No. Neither the Mopar nor AFX PCM's have gear selection sensors, they don't give a crap what gear you are in. They raise the rpm limiter (for all gears), and raises the speed limiter (it's there, just set stupid high).
