As the title suggests, the belt squeals when I turn on the AC. Not a huge deal with winter coming, but still, it is indicative of some sort of problem. Also squeals when you rack the steering out, but nothing new there. Just need to cinch it up tighter, or is there something else going on? I tightened it up real good a week or two after I put the new belt on, do they stretch more after that? Thanks guys, great info on here.

 

You need more tension. Loosen the p/s bracket and wedge it with a pry bar. Belt may need replace if this is not effective.
