well amidst rebuilding my motor ive also got a few little things to do to my car one of them being the lock tumbler comes out with the key -.- a little annoying when the car gets stuck on in this way and i frantically attempt to put it back in to turn the thing off... i know the car was stolen at one point in its life but im not sure if someone got a replacement and just didnt put it in right or something... its a 5 speed so its got the release button if that helps, but if i hold the tumbler and pull release and then pull the key out just the key will come, its just a pain especially if my parents or friends wanna drive my car or i say hey can you move my car or something of the sort

if anyones got an idea why this might be happening (release pin? missing bolt? idk?) just lemme know, thanks
