Default Have to manually disengage turn signal!

The turn signal on my car doesn't switch off after turning the wheel. I have to turn it off manually. Any idea what's causing this and how to fix it? Keep in mind, I know squat about Dodge Neon Sports. The only thing I do know is that I'll have to disconnect the neg. cable to the battery and let it sit for a bit so the airbag will "turn off".

Help?

You need to replace the multi-function switch. It controls the high- low beams and the turn signals. You can get it from a junk yard or the dealer, or ebay. You have to diconnect the negative battery terminal and take the steering colum apart. I had mine done under warenty cause it was doing the same thing and the headlights would turn off by themselves. You should be able to do it yourself with some basic knowledge.

Is there not an issue with taking the steering colomn apart. Does the air bag have to be re-set by a dealer or can it simply be removed then re-fitted. Anyone ever taken one off??? My indicator stalk is the same.

Just disconnect the negative battery terminal for 15 mins.
