Default Dieing after warming up

A friend of mine has a 94 SOHC auto, this thing should have been turned into razor blades years ago but he insists of fixing it.

The current issue is that when he starts it and leaves after about 3 miles it dies and will not start, it happens in about the same spot every time, and he can replicate it every time.

He has replaced every sensor, including the PCM, and it is still a POS.

Any ideas as to what it may be?

Personally I told him to sell it for parts, take the money and put it into saving for a good car, like a Yugo, Instead he dropped ANOTHER grand into getting it fixed.

Fuel pump fuse would be my first place to check. After that, it is probably the fuel pump itself. It will overheat and shut off. After it cools down, it will crank up just fine again.

is the check engine light on? its rare for a car to die three miles exact every time, that seems fishy... any other details or info we could get to help brainstorm.. like how does it run, start ?

check engine light comes on intermittently. It dies about 3 miles from home, or about when warm air starts coming out of the heater vents, when the car gets warm. Tried it from different areas.

Stuff done to it in the last year.
PCM
Cam sensor
Crank sensor
TPS
and any other sensors in the engine bay.
Does need a battery as it is cracked on top.
Lots of engine codes, all for sensors, and EGR.
new alternator.
new starter.
A/C compressor is shot.

116K.

That is all I know, I can get more specific information if you need.

Thanks.

Like said above, check the fuel pump. If it dies the same spot every time, then I would think that the fuel pump works for that short time and then overheats.

This sounds silly but have you checked the thermostat? I had a DXaytona that would do the same thing and it was a $3 thermostat.
