Ive got a 1997 dodge neon 5spd dohc idles good runs good but it will cut out at 2600-3000rmp. Fuels pressures been checked the cars not throwing any codes timings good plugs an wires have been checked. Any ideas of what I could be missing? Thanks for the help

 

Try this. Free and easy to do. Costs nothing but time. Take the exhaust loose from the manifold and let it hang down against the rack and pinion unit. You can tie it in place with a wire if you want to keep it from banging around.

Drive the car around. Yes it will be loud as hell and your neighbors will hate you, so try not to do it at 6am or 10pm.

If you have no issues with it cutting out, then either your cat is plugged, or your muffler.
