new camshaft position sensor??????
alright i put the new cam sensor in.... and my motor starts up alot easy than it did before..... but it still bogs down when i push the throttle to the floor.... and at idle the motor bounces around... it rocks back and forth really bad.... but as soon as i give it a lil gas it smooths right out until it revs down to the idle rpm.... it doesnt rev up.... but it will if i feather the gas pedal..... and i still get the code 12 which is the battery disconnected with in last 50 key turns..... and i still get code 54 which is no cam signal at the pcm.... and the last one is code 55 which is end of error msgs.... what should i do... or wuts wrong..... im so freakin confuzed.... help me plz..... and i went to a dodge dealership this afternoon and they told me i didnt have to reset the pcm after i switched out the camshaft position sensor... but one positive thing i found out today is that im not gettin the code 43 anymore.... its the multiple/single cylinder misfires.... thats a plus at least.... so any help or feed back would help.... thanx
The wiring for the cam sensor may be running along the edge of the valve cover, which is very sharp and can cut through the sheathing and wires after a while. Took out my TPS a while back. Might want to start tracing the wiring, looking for breaks or places it could be getting pulled too tight.
Best of luck!
