ok so i purchased a stage 1 clutch from gripforce. Its a na neon built by ebay, Daily driver. I was building the motor to my roadrunner at the time and didnt have space to repair it myself. So paid 600 for a trans shop to replace it. 3 weeks later i needed new cv seals, and they had to add fluid. 4 months later i had slip and chatter. Now its approaching full slip. My starter died at 3 months from contamination to some sort of oil, also was less than a yr old. The car has never leaked and has no leaks currently. but the clutch is covered in the oil, weither its trans or motor i do not know. the shop refuses to do anything, they will look at it but nothing farther.If he takes it apart and it was his fault its free. but if he takes it apart and a seal goes bad somewhere he will bill me for taking it apart. I cannot trust that he will not damage a seal to create a leak for his own benifit. But i need a new clutch and some how want him held responsible for it. Any ideas? the shop is hutchenson transmisson in mansfield ohio. help?

 

Sounds like sloppy installation. And please tell me they changed the rear main seal and TO bearing when they changed the clutch.

im pissed as hell but he wont do anything. is court gonna be the only way i cant go?

 

Small claims possibly, but if you did not tell him to replace the seal then....
