Its very good to hear that the car is finally working for you. im kinda in the same boat as you were i cant get it to start. once it dries up some i need to test my compression, i just put a new head on it so wish me luck lol

Dear god it's a PITA to figure stuff out but when you finally do... Part of learning I guess. The more you know about your car and how it works the better.
Did an overhaul on my car a few months back and I'm so happy with the results. At the moment my car doesn't look much better than your car 4x4... maybe worse, but it runs and it's awesome on gas. Now that it runs great it's time to worry about aesthetics.
As my cousin said. "Yeah, pretty much everything on the car is new. Now you have to worry about the body rotting out."
