my dome light will not come on with the headlight switch or while the door open. i lubricated the switches on the door frame and all i hear is clicking. what causes this and how can i fix it

 

dont mean anything mean by this but, did u replace the bulb? check fuses and make sure that the wires in the dome light is actually attatched.

 

Ya changed the bulb and all the wires are attached. fuses checked fine and replaced them. only thing i noticed was the door switches on inside were kinda melted

 

To be honest i had a similar problem, im going to guess you have an aftermarket stereo, im not sure how but when i was installing my new stereo a yellow wire popped out and apparently that was the power wire to my dome light, try to check your wires and see if the same thing happened to you

 

wouldnt the power to the dome light be a small pink wire?
