BTW this car has electric locks and windows, cant believe it didnt come with key less entry. I have a 98 4door that i bought key fobs for and figured out how to program them and would like to make this one keyless entry. I also have a 99 2 door that was an electrical nightmare but finally have it sorted out and am driving the crap out of it.

How did you program the 98? I have one (Sport) and would love to have keyless entry.

do you know if your car has a remote keyless entry module? you dont need a working key fob because it will program 2 automatically but without the module key fobs are useless.

We bought the cqar a year ago, and I don't know if it has the module. How can I tell if it does?

Probably the easiest way to tell would be to look for the programming wire. Its located on the passenger side. remove the kick panel and look up under there and see if there is a green wire with a pink butt connector. I had to poke around to find it, it was tucked in pretty good. the other way is to take the dash cover off and see if the module is there.
