Default Ignition Coil Connector

I have a 95 dodge neon, everything runs good after all the upgrades ive done. i recently bought a NEWER coil pack off a 2002 neon and the connector. i want to place it on my 95, but the newer coil pack is a round pin connector. and on my connector the wires are blue, green, black, and on the new connector the wire order is black, green, blue. i was wondering if i could just splice the new connector on and replace the coil pack that way. the 2002 neon coil pack is a better one by far id really like to use it.

The 95-96.5 coil packs had the round pins and the 96.5-2005 had the flat pins. You can splice away and be good. Make sure the connections are good. Solder and shrink wrap them.
