Default Under construction...

Now that I am getting into this a little more I wish I would have taken more pictures. I want to start off by saying I have had the car for a year now and it has grown on me quite a bit. In the past year this car has got me into 4 speeding tickets, 2 squealing tire tickets and a loud exhaust ticket but I love it even more for that reason. I get chastised for it being a "Neon" almost everyday but it is coming from Honda lovers the most lol. I plan on keeping the car and fixing it up but I am on a gas station salary so money is slow and sparse. This is how the car started off:
Gotta love Ohio and the rusting issues we have.... I have not got that fixed still and I am regretting it but it will be done before this next winter. I have replaced the spark plugs with NGK's and upgraded the wires from Duralast to Bosch (I know not much of one). I have done multiple oil changes and have ran a constant 93 octane to keep her cleaned up. I have replaced the coil pack because the 3 cylinder coil went out and installed KYB GR-2 struts and Megan Racing springs. Name: 469952_466686346692118_2036092167_o.jpg

A friend of mine also gave me an old set of Sendel 5 bar wheels that compliment the car nicely, IMO. Name: mms_picture.jpg

As you see in the picture above I have the front bumper off. Right now I am in the process of ghetto painting the car until I can afford a real paint job on it. I am working with a satin black rattle can. More updates to come soon.

It's all in the prep work when rattle canning a car. My old 97 was painted Satin Black and Olive Green...

4doorneon, what wheels are those? They are exactly what I want for my Neon.

They are old SenDel rims. Not made anymore but you may be able to find some used ones on the net.

Damn DAS that is almost the exact color I want to paint mine. What did you use as a primer/base coat? And itate I wish I knew exactly what they were. I did so much research looking up the numbers on the back of the rim and Sendel's website, which aren't the same rims I come to find out, and had no luck. BMW was the closest thing I could find with their Style 18 rim. But they are 5 lug, might work with adapters on 96 - 99 models. http://www.wheels-and-rims.com/cgi-b...?p_prodid=5296

I don't remember what primer I used but it wasn't anything special.

Well took my car to the local tire shop yesterday to get an alignment after I installed my new struts and springs and ran into a small costly problem. I come to find out my tie rods are busted and with hourly rate and buying the parts through them I am out $170

I also noticed I forgot to mention that I swapped the old rotted steel tank out for a plastic tank from a 1997 model. Right now I am looking for a fuel regulator because I have the secondary hose clamped off with a bolt in it.
